Yesterday afternoon, during day two of VMWorld 2010, Siki Giunta, Global VP Cloud Computing and Jay Noble, Director Cloud Computing, presented on Actual Cloud – Value on Demand. Siki commented that CSC believes that all clouds (public, community, hybrid, and private) should all be multi-tenant with all vectors employed. Those vectors are agility, price advantage, access, elasticity. As well as, security, specialization, SLA, and control.
Jay then went into how CSC’s CloudLab and CloudExchange employ all these vectors. CloudExchange features reliable mail and collaboration delivered as a service with the rich feature set of Exchange 2010 but without the overhead. CloudLab features on-demand scalable, virtualized infrastructure with automation technology to improve collaboration and workflow.
